This
was my first attempt at restoring an old radio. I hope you will
believe me when I tell you
it was a mess.It had been stored on a shelf in
an old barn at an old engine
collectors place and the pidgeons had used
it as a nest and outhouse
for who knows how long.
The cabinet had came apart on 3 corners, the only thing that saved
the wood was the fact
that no nails were used ,only glue. I think it being
in a very dry region
(near Walla Walla, Wa.) kept all the metal parts in
rust free condition.
All the wood is original except the two lower end
moldings. One audio
transformer was open and all tubes broken.
I guess the picture tells the rest and 5 tube neutrodyne circuit is one
of my best ones. Anyone
out there have the horn that goes with it?
